 PCMC to soon launch Pensioner App; over 5,000 Pensioners to benefit

\Pimpri,  :- In order to simplify and expedite the process of verifying pensioners’ existence and disburse their pensions promptly, the Pimpri Chinchwad Municipal  Corporation (PCMC) will soon launch a PCMC Pensioner App. A demo of the app, probably the first of its kind in any municipal corporation across the state, was given on Wednesday. On the app features, PCMC Commissioner Shekhar Singh said, “The PCMC Pensioner App is an innovative digital service specifically designed for PCMC pensioners. It offers them a convenient and efficient way to verify their existence and claim their pensions by utilizing advanced technologies such as face recognition and biometric authentication. With this, 5,728 pensioners associated with the PCMC have the opportunity to benefit from this digital service.

By leveraging the PCMC Pensioner App, they can digitally submit their life certificates, eliminating the need to visit government offices physically. This service provides a hassle-free alternative.” Pravin Jain, Chief Accounts and Finance Officer (CAFO), PCMC, said, “To avail themselves of the PCMC Pensioner App facility, pensioners can visit the corporation to complete the KYC process. The system ensures that the person claiming the pension is indeed the rightful recipient.”

The primary objective of the PCMC Pensioner App is to simplify and expedite the process of verifying pensioners' existence and disbursing their pensions promptly. By replacing the traditional manual method of submitting life certificates with a digital solution, this service reduces paperwork, saves time, and minimizes the inconvenience pensioners face.
